Eats batteries way quicker than I would expect from an LED. The cover and locking mechanism should probably be marked as you will be changing the batteries often.

My elderly mother has a large storage closet with no light or electricity. I purchased this for her and it works perfectly. Easy to install and we have not had a single problem with the light. She loves it so much that she tells me every time it goes on she sings You light up my life out loud BTW, the light is bright enough for the closet, but I would not use it to light a very large space.

I put one of these in my pantry room as I was always forgetting to switch the light off. Now I dont even turn the switch light on It gives me plenty of light to find what I need. I like it so much I bought another to put by my door to the garage for quick trips into the garage without having to find the light switch.

LED light is very efficient and much brighter than other stickon closet lights I had in the past and you dont have to push any buttons, as the motion sensor works well, with just the right angle and sensitivity settings. After a year, the battery is still going strong. Highly recommended.

Unlike a lot of my outdoor motion detectors that dont always come on … this Mr. Beams motion detector light has been working perfectly for a month now lighting up our basement stairs. It only comes on at night when it is really needed and was an easy install compared to running household electric wiring and a switch in the walls. The Mr. Beams was installed in the ceiling where it gives very good lighting to the steps below. It is a little pricey, but seems well built and only time will tell how long the batteries and the unit itself last to make it a worthwhile investment. It also will be nice being able to easily see the stairs when there is a power outage. I gave it 4 stars only because of the price.

This LED light is fantastic for our dark pantry, which has no easily sourced electrical wiring to install a regular light. However, with three kids in and out of the pantry for snacks, this thing eats batteries. Considering changing batteries entails propping a ladder in the pantry and removing the device from the ceiling bracket, this device more often than not sits on the ceiling with a dead battery

When it works, its great. The problem is, a few days after putting fresh batteries in it, it starts to dim and keeps getting dimmer until it finally dies. We have it installed over a stove that needed more direct lighting. It does go onoff constantly whenever someone walks through the kitchen. Sometimes it goes on even when nobody is in the kitchen though, weird. It seems to go through batteries WAY quicker than we would like. We might just get a different light for that area and move this somewhere else in the house.

Ive been very pleased with the Mr. Beams products thus far, having bought three different lights in the last 2 years. All were of good quality and design, and none have failed thus far. This ceiling light holds securely with an easily installed mounting plate. The light quality is a nice white, not bluish like cheaper LEDs, esp. those with the mirror backing. It works perfectly with regard to sensitivity. If Im in the area, perhaps 12 feet away, it stays off. As I come to around 10 ft, it activates. The light is quite intense and not pleasant to look into but provides ample light to do my thing in the kitchen without turning on my wall switch. The light throws a sharp cone shape that, in the absence of other lights, shows up as a sharply demarcated circle on the walls and floor. Not pretty, and definitely not a replacement for a regular room light, but great at night. Perhaps best suited to garage, porch, basement, and hall between bedrooms and bath.
