It works fine and clips onto my desk edge and a shelf edge. The edges are close to an inch thick but it probably wouldnt stretch to anything wider so consider your location before ordering. The collar is not compatible with the eco daylight bulb I also bought as the bulb has a flat bottom its one of those modern spiral style ones but you can unscrew it so it will fit. That looks a bit unsafe though so cant really recommend it longterm. The Lamp Holder would be fine for a more traditional shape of light bulb Im sure

Amazing LED lights, however two of the buttons on my remote do not work but thats fine as they are very similar to the ones they are used for. 100 reccomend these
