I bought this replacement bulb for my elderly father who loves the light as he finds ordinary lights difficult due to his poor eyesight. He can now enjoy reading his paper. Bought to replace an existing lamp it was noticably smaller then the lamp I was replacing. The frame of the lamp and the base are quite thin aluminium, this makes for an attractive lamp but it is likely to be less robust then older chunkier examples. Mounting to wall was by two screws. I found the supplied mounting screws a little soft and the heads deformed so I swapped them for some standard 30 x 4mm screws. There are multi lingual written instructions but no diagram. The fittings included some rubber seals for the main body frontback, the cable and four small rubber tubes for which the use was unclear. If they were for helping the fitting screws seal against water they seemes not to fit the screws. Front on base mounting was the familier two nut type. Not perfect but the mounted lamp is attractive and I am going to buy some more.
