very classic big muff pi. standard fuzzdistortion. these arent the best sounding big muffs, but they still sound great for way less money. having an led and power supply jack for modern power supplies is a plus. the construction is way better than the early ones, so less failures and more consistency. true bypass is standard dp3t switches. you can always gut it and put in your own 8 you cant really go wrong with the big muff pi. my suggestion tho is run it on batteries that are almost dead.. some true magic happens when you starve these down to about 6 volts.

Electro harmonics pedals stands on the word of quality excellence. I own several of their products and take it from me they are greatly appreciated and continue to purchase more of them.

Cant go wrong with the Pi, all round great fuzz pedal and the wicker channel is a cool extra too

I have to say i am not the heavy metal type, but when i heard this pedal, i just fell in love with in and wanted to add it to my pedalboard. So it has changed my beliefs . With or without the wicker tone it is amazing. The wicker gives it a beaming sounds, even funky i think. This is definitely a keeper. I use it with my Fender standard hss strat.

If youre willing to buy a noise suppressor to follow it in your chain then its got a solid gain and strong sustain

My original Big M circa 1975 Finally gave up the ghost recently. So I ordered this new one. Externally, the differences are a0 there is no onoff slider switch, which I believe in the original allowed for a true bypass, eliminating any overtones when not in use, and bthey have added an LED indicator to show the effect is in use as if you couldnt hear it. The sound seems a tad thinner than the original pedal, and it is hard to eliminate hum and buzz, expecially in conjunction with other effects. Since there is a jack for an AC adaptor, I dont see why MC doesnt automatically suggest one as an accessory. That said, this is the most fun youre gonna get at this price. it can go from garage band dirty to super smooth Rober Fripp singing all day sustain by twirling a knob. And its funny that you cant include the name of the pedal in a review, as the autocensor thinks it is obscene, apparently

So Ive been looking for a nice distortion pedal for a while, and I finally grabbed one of these guys. It sounds absolutely fantastic, and you really can get a wide range of sounds out of it easily 3 knobs, no problems and very intuitive. The thing that I cant quite make my mind up about, however, is that it almost sounds too good Im pretty sure I could get sustain of over a minute for one note, maybe several, even up on the highest frets, and that feels like cheating. Theres no way a plain electric guitarthroughamp setup could ever do that even with the custom shop les paul Im using, so its kind of unnatural sounding. Also, it puts out so much crunch that any mistakes in articulation you might make just sound like a normal function of the pedal, so that contributes to the whole weirdness of it, too.

I bought this about 6 months ago, and love it. It has great crunch, and is great for my type of music grunge. I also use it as a slight overdrivey kind of pedal, but it has an immediate jump from soft crunch to hard crunch. My main problems with is are that 1st of all, it is HUGE. If youre looking for a pedal board friendly pedal, this is NOT it. My second and final problem with it is that there is SO much fuzz when turned up to about 3 oclock. I can barely record with it as well, as it is far to deep sounding for my mics. Overall, though, it is a great pedal.

This pedal has an excellent dirty blues sound. The wide base gives great stability. The only recommendation is to get the plug in cord so that you do not have to rely on the included battery Shred on

I am a beginner guitarist, but I can say this thing ROCKS I was expecting it to be about 451.5, but its actually more like 671.5. Easy to operate. The distortion of this pedal gives a unique grainy sound to your playing. I listened to people play on Youtube to know what it sounds like and it sounded great in the videos, so I bought it. I actually bought mine on another site, but I cannot review it there. Out of the box it has a battery included so it is plug and play. It does not come with a power adaptor. The way I describe the distortion of this pedal is almost like it is wrapped up in the strings themselves and you can create some very cool sounds. When you mute the strings it very responsively goes quiet unlike with just an amp which can have extra unintended noise. It is very responsive to what you play and you can get a great sound. I definitely recommend this pedal.
