    We have three of these in various closets that never have had a light fixture. We really didnt want to try to find an electrician to run wiring much less pay for the jobs, so these lights quite adequately solved the problem. One is in a coat closet, another in my cleaning closet and the third in a closet where we store our toiletries. All provide enough light to easily see the closet contents and to find what we need.

    As other reviews have noted, its ONLY FOR DARK AREAS, and doesnt offer a ton of illumination.Its perfect for where I have it, which is on an overhang outside an exterior door in a rural area. I also have a wired light there, on a light switch. Its GREAT for lighting up the step doorlock when coming home on nights when the outdoor light isnt on. If the outdoor light is on, it doesnt turn on at all, and rightfully so. The motion sensor also doesnt pick up movement INSIDE the door, which is preferable in my opinion.NOTE It takes four C batteries, which are NOT included, so figure that into your overall cost. 10 for the batteries. Well see how long they last…

    I purchased this for my kitchen pantry a few months ago. With a fresh set of batteries it works great and provides so much needed illumination in our dark pantry. But the batteries only last about a month, maybe less, depending on usage. Considering that it takes four C batteries, that is 4 in batteries every month. That by itself isnt too bad. But changing the batteries that often is annoying. Furthermore, the Mr. Beams light uses so much power that it is only fully illuminated for maybe half of that time. So you have a great panty light for a few weeks and a mediocre one for the remainder. I had hoped for better but Mr. Beams you disappointed me. I would return it if I could, but Im outside the return policy now.

    Goes through a lot of batteries if you have a pet nearby… 4 C batteries every couple months

    Ordered to use in a dark cupboard. Unfortunately the one I received was faulty and I had to remove the batteries to turn off Not good. I tested it in the cupboard, went out for an hour, came back and I could see it was obviously still on. Hassle free return and refunded money promptly so 5 stars go to Radiant Roost for their service

    I bought it to replace a similar one which had the glass broken. Its very nice for a countrylooking or antique kitchen. The glass is open though, and during the summer moths can get into it and die inside.
