    The light is great but the suction cup falls off repeatedly, even with pressing it on the back of a laptop. Forget putting it on the back of a monitor that isnt perfectly smooth and flat. Im looking to purchase a small tripod to be able to use this in the way I need to. I wish I had researched this in more depth before purchasing.

    This is not a device designed for the novice although it does come with comprehensive instructions. I recommend working over a tray to catch any small parts which may come astray.There are no knockouts so a hole must be drilled to permit power entry. I had to disassemble the lampholder to access the screw terminals. Despite these limitations the end result is pleasing. I used a golfball LED lamp which sits almost in the middle of the unit.
