I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these stands, particularly for the price. Pulled to its fullest height it stands over 6 ft tall. The base expands to stand up and is extremely stable on a noncarpeted floor. The unit is not heavy so if you plan to use this on thick carpeting it may not be heavy enough. I bought this for my daughters HTC Vive but when she tires of that, I can use it for my photography lighting.
