Ive revised my rating. I received a NEW replacement unit. The product works well sadly, the manual is lacking, and I had to learn this by trial error. For this device to work consistently, it requires a dedicated connection to the power supply. Harnesses that came with your power supply are fine, but you CANNOT USE aftermarket SATA harnesses that supply multiple SATA devices. The same is applies to the USB connection. It must be made to the motherboard. Ill note, use these same 2 standards for Corsairs Lighting Node Pro Fan Controller. If youre limited on ports, buy a quality USB hub. Cheap brands are not reliable. Bottomline the Commander Pro is a good product, but the manual needs to be more thorough and clearly written.
