    The most important thing to know about this panel is that it is edge lit. The only edge lit panel with similar build quality is from Savage, and that costs 300 for the panel by itself. So the 199 price tag for the Elgato light is actually reasonable. If you can snag it for 175 on sale, even betterWith most other LED panels on Radiant Roost, the LEDs point outward. Without a softbox the light is too harsh, even on low brightness. With your desk against the wall even if you could mount it the softbox would get in the way.The marketing material is a bit misleading showing two lights on either corner of the desk. You dont actually need two of these. However, you should get a fill light. This is supposed to be a lower intensity light 12 as bright as key on the lower on the opposite side. A fill light is used to fill in shadows in your face. You do not need to spend another 200 on that. It doesnt take much.With key and fill taken care of all you need is a background light. You can use a lamp for that in your background.If you do a green screen consider the Elgato MT floorceiling green screen. It is much larger and can be put 45 behind you, which gives you enough room to light it independently. You can either do that with two bank lights on either side, or a T8 above think garage light LED daylight balanced, high CRI w a flag. The key here is to light the green screen evenly. Use an app called Green Screener to help with that. I do not recommend the floor version.
