    A good bright natural reading light it would probably suit artists as well since the light does not affect colours. The assembly of the stem to the base presented a few problems it was not easy to start the threaded end of the stem into the base unit probably because the threads are very sensitive to position. Combining apprehension about cross threading the unit with the springiness of the the cable filled stem meant that some little time was spent trying to align the male and female threads patience is needed if the first attempt fails.
