Beautiful. Far more elegant than the picture makes it look. Was bought as gift but will get one for myself tooHaving used the gift one for a few nights now couldnt resist, I can say it is simply stunning. The soft light it gives off is soothing and is quite enough to read by with 25 watt bulb.The pictures for this item show a fair mixture of light and dark with white light too. This is because the camera is reflecting the light that way. In reality, the overall light is more soft yelloworangebrown. At the end of the day, whatever colour the glass pieces are will be the colour of the light you end up with. There wont be white light as in the pictures unless there are clearish glass pieces. Nevertheless, this light is extremely graceful looking and a joy to have next to the bed, even if not quite so bright and manycoloured as the picture might suggest.I dont think Ill ever have a normal bedside lamp againnote that the item pictured on the site is now in shades of blue the one I ordered was the orangebrown variation

it is beautiful but very light, not the best quality but cant take away the fact that it looks really good. Just ashame it isnt that bright because of the design, so not as bright as it should be for a floor lamp. and yes aesthetically pleasing when feeling the lamp the price is not justified. sorry. still lovely tho I guess.

At the time of writing this review there are 8 listings on Radiant Roost for Lersta lamps, the most expensive at over 90 plus pp so, do a search before committing to buy..For the price this is a major bargain, but it is very lightly built its built to the price. Most of the metal is thinish aluminium, so very easily denteddamaged. It is weighted though, so is stable.The position of the switch was a pain for my use too.I went to Ikea and actually bought one from their good selection of floorstanding reading lamps that was around 3 times the price of this instore prices as mentioned in another review Lerstra lamps are 11 collected from Ikea.It takes an E27 lamp a major pain, no doubt because it is distributed throughout their European chain where ES rather than bayonet lamp caps are normal.For use as a reading lamp, a 3 or 3.5W LED lamp is almost certainly more than adequate for most people it is for me.NOTE maximum lamp wattage is 15W
