Just unravel the cable stick the solar panel in the ground and your all set . comes on at dusk automatically and lasts a long time , well into the night and after i have gone to bed . i stapled mine to my kids play house and now looks really nice in the evening ,

A poor item for the price, if there is one cloudy day the lights just illuminate for a few minutes then fade out, they need a long bright sunny day to get a decent show from them, even that only lasts for 2 hours
