    These were the best value polished brass style brackets I could find online. They are always easy to pick up from Screwfix and my son was able to securely fix them onto a handrail for my parents stairs. My Mum is very happy with them. They go very nicely with the varnished pine handrail. Definitely recommend.

    These were the second set Ive bought for a banister rail, or stair handrail, the first set purchased a few years ago are still going strong. I rightly assumed therefor that these would be at least as good and certainly the quality of finish is excellent. As I was fitting these to my elderly mothers house I wanted to be sure they would do the job without question. Other reviews have queried the quality of the screws supplied, some replacing them entirely. The screws are in two separate packets, each labelled wall and wood. I had no problems with these, although the head on one was not perfect it still went in and all were screwed with a drilldriver. The finished result is solid enough for my mother to swing from, if she had a mind to, and I have no worries as to the strength of either brackets or screws.
