Used for better lighting while on Zoom conferences. For this light to be effective, it has to point at the user and be turned up bright. Also best when mounted directly on laptop. But when used in this way the intensity of light is blinding, making it hard to focus on screen. Suction cup is supplemented with some sort of sticky adhesive, so that it is extremely difficult to pry loose once placed. We found that a simple, and cheaper shaded table lamp actually provides better lighting than this product.

I needed a new motion detector for my hallway lamp at night after problems with the hub for another smart home system stopped working and couldnt be recovered. As I already had a number of Hue lights and the Hue Bridge I decided to give this one a try. It was easy to pair with the Hue bridge and I was able to set up my automation easily with the mobile app.The only thing I didnt like is the install options as the magnetic plate requires screw mounting whereas my previous one just went up with sticky tape style fixing. Decided to just stand it on the hall table beside the lamp and that has been working OK and means the cat walking through the hall doesnt set it off which actually works much better than having it wall mounted

All in all, this ended up solving the problem I had with having several fans out of sync RGB wouldnt illuminate. The RGB controllers my 680x case was bundled with were insufficient to do the job I have 8 fans, and 4 RGB strips. Removing connections from this module is a nightmare, and for that reason Ive lessened my EasetoInstall rating. Additionally, 80CAD for a mere fan controller sure theres some temperature sensors, etc. is obviously obscene. Theyve trapped a market seeking iCUE products in a world where a standardized RGB protocol is yet to exist its coming…..
