I suppose it actually has some kind of suction, but really there is so much sticky material on the suction part that I hardly have to press the lever for the suction feature. Its actually quite hard to take off my laptop, which i do like to do bc i dont love looking at the cube perched at the top when I dont need to have it onuse it for meetings. I did wipe the area down really well before applying it for the first time. Lighting is great

good size cable and can be clipped almost anywhere. just what i was looking for. only complain is that the clip looks like it may eventually snap as the plastic seems quite flimsy but its not very expensive so i would probably replace it if that happened
