Ok, so, I bought these for making YouTube videos, and Ive done a lot of testing with them, so here are my thoughts on itFor the money, these lights are great. Theyre very bright, and very convenient to use. I plug them into portable USB chargers, which makes them battery powered, and it is extremely convenient to use them like this.As a video light, these lights arent the end all. They are small, maybe 4×6 or so, and when your light source is that small, the light quality tends to be a little bit hard for taking video of a person. So if you want these lights for video, take note that you will be using them both to light a person, you wont have one for the person, one for ambient.I foresaw the issue with these lights being small and bought the neewer 660 LED panel, which is use as a key light, and I use these two little lights as accent lights. For accents, these lights are beautiful, especially because they include a blue and red gel, which can make it look like the shadows are red or blue.The other application for these lights is for taking video or photos of smaller objects, macro or tabletop photography. These lights would also be excellent for lighting a room, or just a workstation.The hardware that comes with these lights is cheap. Very low quality, very lightweight, but the lights themselves are also very light, and so as long as the stands are not disturbed, they are fine, but the build quality may be an issue when you have to walk past these lights often. The stands are also very short. Maybe only 34 feet tall. My advice if you buy these lights, consider adding metal lighting stands to your order so that you can make better use of these.
