I bought this pair of lights to use seated on a desk for when I use a webcam. The lighting is adjustable. For my purpose I have the lights set at a lower level and bounce the light off of white sheets of paper up at my face. I like having two lights on either side of my face. It may have been better for my purpose of have bought a circular light that goes around my webcam. The top light setting is bright enough to light up an area when using a camcorder.

This is an excellent product overall, it arrived very fast and is a great complementalternative to having a lamp. I want to give it a perfect score the only thing that stops me is that at least twice, when I have been using it for a while, it suddenly snaps off and falls on the floor, which is very dangerous. If youre using it on your bed headboard, as I am, you should watch out for that, and also consider a shade for it, in case you are burnt by the bulb. Otherwise, Im very happy.
