I love this lamp and I dont regret buying it. But for the price I expected a much better quality. The hinges are always coming loose and you have to tighten the blots quite often. Also theres seems to be no way to change the light blub without damaging the face. Theres a white screen over the blub and this is fixed so youd have to break it in order to change the blub.

Such a good product, I didnt think it would be as good of quality for the price but it is excellent. I got the black chrome, lovely colour and it will be used with an Edison vintage bulb. Pete Russell

The proportions of this surprised me, the lamp part being quite large whilst not too tall, so check out the specification before you purchase. Whilst described as a reading light, I wanted it to light a work area, used for various practical tasks e.g. art model making.Because the lamp is quite squat and I paint on a desk easel, I positioned the lamp on top of a cupboard to the side and about 1 metre above my work area. Initially as a temporary measure, this has worked well with the bright, very natural light reflecting off the various surrounding surfaces, so I get no irritating shadows e.g. from my hand on the paper. Ii is very easy on the eyes and I forget that I am using an electric light which is better than I expected.
