The reason I ordered this is primarily for use during the winter when I arrive home in the dark and trying to fit the key in the front door keyhole is a bit like trying to pin the tail on the donkey. After a bit of messing about on a step ladder, I managed to find the optimum position and fitted it to one of my porchs wooden supporting joists next to the door. The light is not blinding and the motion sensor arc is not amazing possibly more to do with where Ive fitted it than anything else but it does what I want it to do. If youre after a cheap and easy selffit door light, this is fit for purpose. However, if youre after a security light I suggest buying something more substantial or employing an electrician to fit something more permanent.
