In an expanding market of home lighting hubs, Phillips Hue has lead the way with its own system. As with all innovative initiatives, price tends to be high certainly the case with these Phillips bulbs. Prospective purchasers my look at other systems which are considerably cheaper, however, it is to be hoped that Phillips will see the need to cut the price of their bulbs etc to compete in an ever growing marketplace. The product itself is excellent but if price is an issue it might be wise to shop around.

Great product. Looks stylish and fan blades create a good downdraft which has been a great help for sleeping in this recent hot weather. Had to send the remote control back unused as it was not clear that u have to have additional cabling for it too work. You cannot just wire on to UK light switch. Works perfectly well without. Instructions on the web page should be clearer on this. Refund received no problem.

Love the shiny rose gold look. Had to grind the metal hole down on the lampshade i bought then wondered why it didnt fit. It is just a standard nothing special. The fitting is decribed rightly so as VINTAGE LOOK. I dont think you are meant to have a shade. I bought silver for the bedrooms and the existing shades are on with the bulb this being what holds them in. The geometric wire shades seem to fit them better. Unfortunately not my style. I got the shade to fit after I grinded the metal ring peice. A bit of hassle. Then I read the description and fully understood why a standard shade didnt fit.
