My midcentury homes master closet has bifold doors and was very dark, particularly at the end of the clothes rod. I found myself having to pull clothes out to see what they were. I bought two of these, installed them on the ceiling and couldnt be happier. They do not illuminate merely from the opening of the doors and shut off quickly when done.Highly recommended
