I bought this thinking I would have to modify it. I wanted a light for a very small unlit pantry. I searched and searched for the perfect light. I found this one and in the reviews, I found a very detailed explanation on how to modify it. I dont even remember now why I thought I would need to modify it. It arrived I installed it in the ceiling. Now every time I open the door, I have light. This is marvelous and I wish I had installed it 9 years ago. Go figure

Ive had a dark closet that needed illumination for many years, and finally solved the problem with this guy. Opening the door usually pops the light on, and if that doesnt do it, waving my hand in front of it does. Very occasionally, I need to close the door anew, so that it can experience total darkness, then reopen it. Really not a big deal.It casts enough light to make the dark places in the closet clearly visible, which is what I need from it.

I have only had this motionsensing ceiling light for a short period of time, so I cannot comment on the battery life just yet. However, I can tell you the build of the product is nice and quite hefty. The motion sensor works perfectly for my application in a closet it does not come on unnecessarily when I am walking by, but rather only when I step into the closet. The LED bulb is surprisingly bright and is perfect for lighting up the closet. Easytounderstand directions about installation and, with no buttons on the device, works exactly as it should, with no confusion.

I would give this product five stars if it was rechargeable, but that said, it solves a problem for an under stair closet. Running power was expensive and an absurdly complicated project when we have other priorities. Light battery life are good and an excellent solution for this space. We do recycle the batteries and are fortunate to have a convenient place t do so.

Nice but sucks battery life and isnt as bright as Id like. Nevertheless, it is better than others Ive tried out in stores. In our front closet with a family of 5, the batteries 4 Cs only last about 34 months.

This light has been living on the shed ceiling for well over a year now, and its still working perfectly, providing plenty of light when it gets dark. I havent even had to change the batteries yet. It is not often that a consumer product meets and even exceeds my expectations, but this is one of those times. Warmly recommended indeed.
