The first thing that struck me was the amazing gift packaging.I will most definitely be repurposing this box and it is going into my stuff to be recycled for Christmas stash.It made me smile and also wonder how peeved someone would be to get that box and think they were receiving something indulgent like chocolates or soaps and perfumes or almost anything other than a plastic bathroom light fittingLuckily we wanted a plastic bathroom light fitting so we were happy.Andy hasnt fitted it just yet so I will return once it is fitted with a picture of it in place and with a report of how easy it was to install or not I wont prejudge and if there are any issues with it.But so far so good.This has now been fitted and it is bright and we are very happy with it. I like that is a sealed unit so no more flies and bugs getting into the bathroom light fitting which happened with our old glass fitting. I also like that it is waterproof so ideal for a wetroom which is what we have.

I tried a cheap RBG lightbulb before and I was not satisfied.This lightbulb is great, they are more expensive but its worth it. You get accurate colours to what you see on the control app, control is instant and not delayed like the cheaper one I had before.The only downside is that in order to connect up multiple bulbs and control them at once you need to invest in a HUE bridge which is pretty expensive in itself, you also cannot control them without a smart device with the HUE app, its impossible to control from a PC.The bulb features both a full RGB mode as well as a warmcold white light mode as well as being able to be dimmed in both modes. The App comes with several preset colours that look quite nice.
