What a fantastic product. I broke may old lamp in the kitchen and wanted to replace it with something different. This is exactly what was required. Looks great, feels great and i would definitely recommend it. Five star product. Purchase the Edison light bulbs as recommend to add how great it looks.

I finally decided to go with this lamp after considering many others at many different price points. At the end of the day, Im very happy that I went with this one.It arrived really very quickly once it was shipped, from India no less. Ive had domestic packages take longer. As others have noted, it arrives in two packages one for the tripod and the other for the head. The first thing I noticed when opening the lamp was that it felt sturdy. Often when purchasing from what appear to be nameless, foreign shops, the quality can be suspect. Here, the legs are solid wood and the metal appears to be some sort of punchedcut light gauge steel. First impressions were very good, especially with the price point in mind. And thats what you need to remember. You need to ground yourself in the reality of what youre buying and how much youre paying. With that in mind, I feel your expectations will be met, if not exceeded. Some things of note I didnt know but discovered when it arrived.1. The aim of the lamp is entirely adjustable and fastenable. Of course this makes sense, but it wasnt something Id explicitly thought about beforehand.2. The lamp has a diffuser over the hole where the light comes out. This helps make a softer, more even glow. It doesnt feel cheap and is probably about as high of quality you can get here without going to a frosted glass.3. The cord is plastic. Not a big deal, but some might appreciate knowing.4. The top part is pretty weighty I actually appreciate this as it improves my perception of quality.5. It does not come with a lamp.Others have suggested that this lamp doesnt put out a whole lot of light. While I can empathize with them, its not exactly dark, either. Some things you might notice are signs of it being handcrafted. Mostly uneven punches and snips of metal. To me, this adds a bit of character to the piece. Most notably, the barn doors on the front may not be entirely uniform in their rounded corners. Id dock half a star at most for this because its ultimately not something Im concerned about at this price point and I dont feel its noticeable enough to warrant much criticism.I feel it necessary to compare this to other items of similar design with more verifiable quality. I looked at Pottery Barn for something similar, and they had a few options with much less charm than this. And to be candid, their offerings felt tinny and cheap in comparison to this one, at about 3040 percent more . In fact, should Pottery Barn decided to make one of these, it would either be cheaper feeling, or feel almost the same with marginally more detail given to uniformity, but at 3x the price. I feel it also necessary to compare this recreation with the real deal. Well, for one, buying a real lamp of similar design in good standing of vintage make will set you back between 7002,500 depending on material, age, quality, knowledge of vendor, etc. For 150, there is hardly comparison. But for me, the choice was clear. Yes, a real lamp in this style is a tank. It will have history and charm for sure, and will feel more robust all around. We looked at some antique stores for them and did discover some. But this was a decision based on costvalue and ultimately, the Thor won out.Overall, if youre on the fence about this but are loving what you see otherwise, I cant recommend pulling the trigger enough. Im very happy with mine and am sure you will be, too.

Great lamp for the sale price of 45 . No way would have I spent the 100 original price purely because the finish around the light isnt to a very high standard , rough and plastic isnt very good quality .
