This lamp is worth every penny. I use it as a sewing light the daylight glow means accurate colour match of thread better vision capability for tiny detail. Recently it has been used by workmen who were lagging my loft decorators to prep uneven walls in poorly lit areas. It also makes a brilliant craft lamp. The flexible stand will ensure light goes exactly where you want it to. Excellent product.

This lamp is really beautiful. I have two in my bedroom as bedside lamps, and I think youd need two in the room to read by as on their own they cast more of an atmospheric light than a bright you would need to read by, for instance. The lamp is a good size for a bedside table, the cherry blossom silhouette pattern is lovely, and the glass has a pearly quality to it when the light is on. It suits perfectly my Laura Asley orientsl garden wallpaper which also has a flora silhouette pattern. Im not quite sure why the previous reviewer had such difficulty finding a bulb for this it takes a small Edison screw 40w bulb, and you can find thus out by looking in side the lamp and at the 40w max label on the lightbulb socket of the lamp. Ikea do their own very cheap LED bulbs, but I dont think theyre brilliant quality. The only downsides are that as the lamp is constructed almost entirely of glass, it is fragile and needs delicate treatment I knocked one into the wall and cracked it, so had to get another one but thats to be expected. Also, it traps quite a bit of dust because of its shape, so needs fairly regular dusting. Personally though, I think this is a bargain Ikea product and looks much more expensive than it is.
