    I bought this Lightstrip because I had some difficulties with WiFi range on a LIFX product. Although the setup of the Hue app and hub was much easier than LIFX I was very disappointed in the quality and output of the light by comparison.I use lightstrips behind a computer monitor as a backlight for my home office and the quality of the LIFX light is beautiful. The Hue has very dull and unexciting light compared to the vibrancy of the LIFX. Its a shame, but once Id got used to LIFX LEDs there was no going back for me. This is a shame because the physical quality of the Hue and ease of use with the app, hub and WiFi setup was superb.I am now waiting for the new generation of LIFX products to be released for my next purchase.Hope that helps

    Awesome This light has wifi enabled controls that allow you to change the hue as well as the intensity of light via your phone or computer. There are no controls on the light to do this. Ive never felt the need to do so. This is a great light that makes every aspect of use easier than other lights Ive used before. Easy 5 Stars.

    Im not happy. Other reviews are correct. These are advertised as dimable. This is incorrect.I installed them with a dimmer switch using the original and they constantly flicker. A lot.If you use them on their own put one tungsten amongst them and they will dim. Otherwise. replace your dimmer switch, for an onoff switch.The Advertising Standards authority could do well to tell them only to sell for use with an onoff switch, or that they will dim with a special LED dimmer switch not the original tungsten dimmer. All other LED bulbs manufactured will dim with this type of switch too. Extremely misleading.
