Description
A pretty ceramic lamp base in a simple, classic vase shape from iconic brand Laura Ashley. The Breedon is beautifully painted by hand with leaves in taupe using a subtle dot technique, which contrasts elegantly with the pale cream ground. Base only; an Ø 20cm (8”) or Ø 25cm (10”) shade in an empire or tapered shape is recommended (illustrated shade not included). It comes with a cream twisted, braided fabric cable, and is operated by a push-bar switch. Takes 1 x 40W max B22 GLS light bulb (not included).

The lamp is attractive and very tactile. The urchin textured base is subtle but interesting, and the shape is nice too. The shade has a textured look, which is very effective when the lamp is lit. Although decidedly neutral in colour, the bobbles on the base and the weavescratch effect on the shade mean this is still a noticeable and pleasing addition to the room. It gives a good amount of light and the woven flex is a nice finishing touch.

We really like this table lamp. We use it on a light oak sideboard against a very, very pale apricot coloured wall. It fits in beautifully. The base is very stable and has a quality ceramic texture. The shade provides gentle diffuse lighting. Most of the illumination comes from it acting as an uplighter on the wall behind. This table lamp creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere in the room. We love it

I gave this a 4 star rating as the description of the shade is cream whereas its actually beige. I will have to buy a proper cream shade now, but thats my personal taste as the actual shade is very nice, and fits the lamp nicely. It also arrived knocked about luckily it retained its shape when I straightened it, with no visible creases or marks. The box it came in was half open, and pretty bashed about, and the shade wasnt properly packaged hence the bent shade. Over all Im pretty pleased with this lamp, looks high end for a reasonable price.

Very pleased with the lamps, which are used on bedside tables. Stylish and expensivelooking lamps and good value. Only reason I give 4 rather than 5 star is that I would prefer the onoff switch to be on the lamp itself and not the flex, as it means that the flex has to be more visible on top of the table in my particular case as the tables have to be very close to the bed.
